Ideas or the Lack of Them can cause Disease

Published in Widowism by chefswidow

Let the book clubbing begin!

All parties interested in the Kurt Vonnegut Book Club:

The book club will begin at Bar Cento on October 5th @ 2pm.  The first book that we will read is Breakfast of Champions, available at your local library, half priced books, and amazon.com.  The meeting will cost $10 for all you can eat pizza and pomme frittes.  Alcoholic Bev’s additional.  The first meeting will be a meet & greet, no reading required.  Every meeting following will be the first Sunday of the month, same place, same time, different book.  So freakin’ excited.

Please feel free to email me with any questions or concerns.  Also email me to reserve your spot.  I would like to get a count so I know how much food to get from the Chef.  Awesome.  See you in two weeks!

Oh yea!!! I’m so excited. My hubby and I will be there – can’t wait!

(I guess this means I finally have to introduce myself to you)!

Unfortunately, I’m camping that weekend, and I don’t think I’ll be back from the Boondocks by 2 p.m.

HOWEVER, I’ll pick up my book and be prepared for our next session.

That’s only a couple steps removed from pool boy, right? Fantasy come true?

I’ll be there talking with grown-ups about my favorite author, Kyle will be home, watching football, Liv will be napping and Kade will have his Dad all to himself…what a perfect day!

Can I just come for $10 all I can eat pizza? Bar Cento has the best pizza around. I would live in the place if I didn’t live an hour away.

Dang! I can’t come to Oct or Nov!

How are you going to choose the book of the month? Are you going to choose in advance and have the schedule laid out? Are we all going to choose at one or two meetings prior?

I hope you all enjoy the first book! I look forward to reading and discussing the 2nd book in December!
