Day 6

Published in Widowism by chefswidow

Last week I joined Weight Watchers.  I am the heaviest I have ever been and I need help and discipline to lose the weight.

This week I’ve realized that I’m starving.

That was the hardest part of starting WW (or any diet for that matter). You just have to find the most filling versions of the foods you like to eat with the fewest Points. I have some good tips for low Point bread, lunch meat and other things if you are interested.

mama chef- i feel you. i tried WW but i wanted to die because i was so hungry. i am going to start eating as clean as possible. if you need a buddy in the fight, i’m your girl. we can bounce food ideas off of each other. literally, you can bounce stuff off of me, that’s how gross i am.

    love and support,
    gp

After my wedding, my Mom lost 90 pounds with WW and has kept it off for 11 years! It works…you can do it!

Ha, I hear ya! I am currently doing WW (for the third time), but I have to say that it DOES work when you stick to it. It is certainly not a diet, it’s a lifestyle. Veggies are great, and mostly 0 points. I just started buying their brand of wheat bread and english muffins, and they aren’t half bad- just stay away from the cardboard-tasting bagels. Yuck! Good luck- you’re not alone.

spaghetti squash and skinny cow ice cream sandwiches saved my life on WW. If you want a buddy, I’ll totally do it with you! Sometimes it helps to have a “teammate.”

Widow- you can do it! I lost 50 lbs on WW and have kept off 45 of it for 6 years. It was a slow process- took about 16 months, but was worth it. High Fiber foods and lean protein will help you feel “full” Remember to eat as many o point vegtables as possible.
    You can Do it!
