Monday Munchies: The Fall of The Wall

Published in Widowism by chefswidow

I am very excited to announce that I will be writing for Ohio Authority, Ohio’s baddest online magazine.

I spent my weekend shopping, eating, and drinking with good friends. Tis the life.

I also spent quite a few man hours dissecting each one these amazing tattoo’s on Your Tattoo sucks. Be careful, I have been on the site since Thursday.

This week is going to be straight up crazy.   The Chef heads to the shvitz tonight for the start of the schvitzing season (ugggghhh), the Fabulous Food Show takes over the weekend, and we have a really big rager on Sunday at the tavern.  Whew. It’s gonna be a long one.

Mike Symon’s book is rad.  Buy it. Or wait for me to give some copies away on this blog (a’hem michael).  Either way it MUST become a part of your cookbook collection.

The Berlin Wall came down today 20 years ago.  I was 10.  At the time I didn’t understand it but while watching the people’s faces on the TV, I couldn’t help by cry for their elation.  There are some really beautifully raw videos of this day, 20 years ago.  Take a moment for their freedom today.  I know I am.

Missed you last night at the GHT, Chef’s specials were great. We will be in tonight again and Saturday and Sunday for your wingding, too. Hadn’t been in in awhile so I guess this is how we catch up? Maybe we are going to have to buy a couple of chairs. And I have already got Michael’s cookbook, preordered from Amazon, and now I will need you or the chef to get the Iron Chef to sign one for friend.

My boyfriend is from Germany and he lived in East Germany until the wall came down and they moved west. It is amazing to me to even fathom what he lived through.

I love the new look to your site. I think you mean semi conscious writer though. Sorry if that’s rude, I couldn’t find your email!
