Tonight Tonight

I’ve been noticeably absent.  I know. I know. The Chef and I have been dealing with some things and I have been hitting up the event circuit.  Last night I was invited to a beauty sale for charity at All Lacquered Up’s house.  We raised $700 for Dress for Success and I walked away swimming in product.  It was rad plus I got to hang out with some of my favorite bloggers like Allison, Mel, and Alexa, and even meet some knew ones like my new friend Dana over at Meadowbroke.  Word.

My take

Today I am heading down to The Greenhouse Tavern to support a mother I don’t know.  Anissa and I met briefly at BlogHer this summer and I was saddened to hear news of her second stroke.  I have been following her condition through her husband’s words and I am happy to report that she woke up from her coma.  Totally amazing news.

I am really excited that so many people have responded to her story.  Not only are we sending some of the proceeds from Blog It Forward down to her family but MVP Valet (the guys who will be parking your cars tonight) have offered to donate $200 to Blog It Forward!  We are also going to have a 50/50 raffle to raise even more money for The Mayhew’s.  Yay Yay Yay!
