Pitbulls in Need (of Sleep)

Published in Widowism by chefswidow

They sleep in my bed every. single. night.  Potato snores.  And scratches.  Snores and scratches.  All. Night. Long.  Vito licks my feet.  Then he licks Chefs’ feet.  Then Potatos’ ears.  Three hours of licking.  Lick.  Lick.  Lick.

I don’t get a lot of sleep.

But somehow between the snoring and the scratching and the licking and the bed hogging, I get spooned and loved by a pitbull and a pug.  And I absolutely love. every. single. second.

I know I’m not the only who goes through this.  Does your dog sleep like a human?

****My favorite local pitbull rescue organization is putting together an amazing calendar of pits. I am obviously obsessed with my Potato so I will definitely be entering his lovable big head.  If you are a pit mommy or daddy you should enter a pic of your bull!  It’s only $10 and all proceeds go to help For The Love of Pits rescue.   If you are not a pit owner then you should be!    As always they are in need of sponsors, donors, foster parents, and adoptive parents.  xo friends.  Thanks for your support!

Pug + cat + king size bed / me = fighting for spoon position. I did it for 5 years before my divorce…. and its the only fight I miss so bad. <3 the furry babies

Bacon starts the evening curling up y my hip. By morning, he is full on spooning with me and half pushing me off the bed. He’s so damn cute, I just want to eat him up.

We have three dogs- and ALL of them sleep in the bed with us! We had to upgrade to a king due to all of the bed hogging. One snores, the same one licks when not snoring, one pushes her bony spine into your back (HARD), and the other finds a way to mash herself in between us almost every night. But we love ‘em!

Yep, both of our puggles sleep in bed with us, and I’ve rolled over plenty a morning, expecting to see my husbands sleeping face and instead rolled straight into a furry body/wet nose – because hey – dogs need to sleep with their heads on pillows too :)

We have two boxers that both sleep on the bed; one is “normal” but the other insists on sleeping with her head on my pillow. Occasionally I’ll move her down to the foot of the bed, but she will army crawl her way back up! Sneaky!!!

Love it! We have a beagle, Jack Russell and 2 kiddos! Our Jack sleeps on our throats and our beagle is an under the cover snuggler (is that a word). Regardless lots of noises are going on in our room at night…And none come from me!

OMG, your doggies are so cute! I sleep sandwiched in between two cats every night. As long as I get to sleep before Snickers starts snoring, I’m good. She (of course) has to mash her face right against my ear. But how can you push that cuteness away?

Yes my girl sleeps with me every single night! She has her own bed, but would rather sleep with me :) I wouldn’t trade it for the world!

Yes. My lab insists on spooning. Every night, every morning. I love it, but like you I could use much more zzzzz’s!

The husband and I curl up every night with our great dane and beagle snuggled on the bed with us. Logan the beagle generally prefers to sleep right in-between us and is not a morning dog at all. Mortimer the great dane has no idea he weighs 120 pounds and is on the foot of the bed. Did I mention sometimes a cat or two will join us too?

I hate it, I love it, I wouldn’t change it at all!
