A few days ago I was contacted by a Food Network casting agent (as I am sure many other CLE restaurateurs were). She was writing to see if I would be interested in auditioning for The Next Food Network star. Seeing as how I had never seen The Next Food Network Star, I decided to ask the Twitterbook.
The result ended up being 50/50. Half of you love the show and half of you absolutely hate it. No help there bitches. I decided to watch for myself to see if I have what it takes to be (in Oprah voice) THE NEXT FOOD NETWORK STAR!
So yeah. I don't.
When they asked me to audition, the used the term 'culinary enthusiast' which I totally am....buuuuuuuuutttttt....the fact of it all is that...wait for it...
Seriously. I can't. Ask the Chef. He was under the ruse that I was polenta master when we were dating. It only took me 5 years to tell him it was premade.
So unless they wanted a cook free Food Network star (which I would be GREAT at), they are SO barking up the wrong tree. Although, Guy Fieri was discovered on NFNS... and I could totally use some Guy Fieri money. Heh. Heh.
I do feel that I am rather interesting though...ahem...ahem.
If you are interested in auditioning for TNFNS, leave me a comment with your email. I'll send you the deets.
