All thanks to a farm and a chef.
We are so freaking fortunate to be involved with so many AMAZING events. This was, by far, one of the coolest.
From their website:
Outstanding in the Field is a roving culinary adventure – literally a restaurant without walls. Since 1999 we have set the long table at farms or gardens, on mountain tops or in sea caves, on islands or at ranches. Occasionally the table is set indoors: a beautiful refurbished barn, a cool greenhouse or a stately museum. Wherever the location, the consistent theme of each dinner is to honor the people whose good work brings nourishment to the table.
If you get a chance to participate, I highly recommend. One of my top three summer nights ever. There's nothing quite like eating food from the farm you are dining on. Takes Earth to Table dining to an entirely new level. Big thanks to the Thaxton Garlic Farm for letting us chill on their land and super hugs to the OITF crew for being so creative, awesome, and inspiring.
